FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…
Buford, GA – There’s a new company in Gwinnett County making people and their pets feel right at home.
The Puppy Pantry, a pleasantly warm concept specializing in pet supplies, has two locations in Braselton and Buford, Georgia. Founders, Brian and Heather Nichols, created the neighborhood pet supply shop for all dog and cat needs. Specializing in animal supplies, The Puppy Pantry competes with big retailers such as Petco & Petsmart. The newly founded franchise aims to spread thier southern values to other markets as they continue to expand.
Founded in 2012, the retail pet operation has created a modern vintage atmosphere, simply to make customers and their pets feel at ease. This 3000 square foot pantry offers a variety of foods, all of which are free of corn, wheat, soy, artificial dyes and preservatives. The Puppy Pantry also offers a variety of quality treats and supplies, as well as premium boarding, daycare services, grooming and a self-service dog wash.
“We want to encourage people to go back to the days of supporting their local economies, rather than big box stores. Many of our products come from local family-owned businesses and this is something that The Puppy Pantry values,” said Brain. Brian’s wife, Heather Nichols adds, “We value customer service, which is why we’ve created our own Puppy Pantry nutrition certification program that all employees must complete before they are on our sales floor. This knowledge allows our staff to assist customers in the store, while selecting the right food for their pet through consultation.”
The Nichols’ created The Puppy Pantry to teach about proper pet nutrition and have quality pet products conveniently located near consumers’ homes. With the Braselton location launched this year, the pet franchise is steady growing and more successful than ever. The couple says, “The goal is to expand at an appropriate rate, in which creates the time to confirm the traits of a successful franchisee. We advise for our future franchisees to have retail experience, passion for the industry and most importantly, be pet owners. The husband and wife entrepreneurial duo have created a concept that not only works, but gives back to the community in so many ways.
